I went to my hometown salon this week, to see the stylist who had been taking care of hair (owning it, in his words) since I was in junior high, and we did something we’d never done before: We cut my hair.

Instead of always making room for improvement, perhaps one should just enjoy the space you occupy
Once, I was blind. Now, I see.
Using this time of year as an opportunity to forgive, to forget, and to let it all pass over.
No doors ever stay permanently closed. No matter how far you go, how fast you run, your past is always nipping at your heels.
That is the only thing I learned in 2017 and I am 100%, no regrets, absolutely-madly-unrepentantly glad for that lesson.
Everyone thinks owning a “home” makes you an adult. I think you should check that math.
